# sk181166 - "Failed to connect Quantum Management environment to Infinity Portal" error in SmartConsole

## Symptoms

- * In SmartConsole, after users click **Infinity Services** \> **Get Started** and enter the token, connection fails and this error message appears:  
  "*Failed to connect Quantum Management environment to Infinity Portal.*"
* After users cllick **OK** and the **Error** window closes, this message appears at the top of SmartConsole:  
  "*Failed to communicate with Infinity Portal. Check the connection between your Quantum Management environment and Infinity Portal. Also, make sure your Quantum Management environment is connected to your Infinity account in Smart-1 Cloud.*"
* On the CLI of the Mnagement Server, the output of `# mgmt_cli show-cloud-services` shows `status connected.`
