# sk181150 - "Dynamic Balancing is currently Initializing" in the output of the "dynamic_split -p" command on a VSX Gateway

## Symptoms

- * The output of the "`dynamic_split -p`" command on the VSX Security Gateway shows "*Dynamic Balancing is currently Initializing*" all the time.

* The *$FWDIR/log/dsd.elg* on the VSX Security Gateway contains this line:

  *fwk cores num different than default split on first run (current:X default:Y)*

  Where X is the current number of CoreXL Firewall instances configured and Y is the default number of CoreXL Firewall instances.

## Cause

CoreXL Dynamic Balancing monitors the Security Gateway periodically for manual configuration that might conflict with its own actions (such as changes in the states of CoreXL Firewall instances, changes in the CoreXL Firewall instance affinity, changes in the interface affinity, and so on).

CoreXL Dynamic Balancing stop itself if it detects such conflicting manual changes.
