# sk181076 - Media Encryption on macOS fails when Media Encryption size is set to 100%

## Symptoms

- Cannot encrypt the USB drive on macOS when the Media Encryption size is set to 100%.

## Cause

Media Encryption size is set to 100%, but the maximum available space on the USB drive is less than 100%.  

When the problem occurs, the number in the white box to the right of the toggle bar is 100.
