# sk181071 - macOS dialog shows "Endpoint Security Installer was prevented from modifying apps on your Mac"

## Symptoms

- * When users install the exported package (version E87.30 and lower) on macOS (starting from version 13.4), macOS shows "*Endpoint Security Installer was prevented from modifying apps on your Mac*".
* The Endpoint Security Installer application cyclically restarts.
* Users downloaded the exported client using a web browser from: *https://portal.checkpoint.com/dashboard/endpoint/endpoint#/policy/export-package*

## Cause

Starting from macOS version 13.4, the new "App Management" Privacy Setting requires user approval in System Preferences. For more information, see <https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT213758>

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

If you choose not to upgrade, there are three possible solutions.**Solution 1 : Approve App Management**   
In the end user macOS GUI \> **App Management** window, below "*Allow the applications below to update or delete other applications* ", select **Endpoint Security Installer** .

**Solution 2: Run Command before Unzip to Prevent the Problem**   

To prevent the problem, run this command in maCOS terminal after you install the package and before you unzip it:  

`xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Users/admin/Downloads/EPS_E87.30_app.zip`  

**Solution 3: Use Tiny Agent**   
Use Tiny Agent to download the client on all tenants.
