# sk181051 - Cloud Threat Emulation fails

## Symptoms

- "Cloud emulation failed. Reason: General error. see debug logs for more info." error when Cloud Threat Emulation fails for a file bigger than 100MB.

## Cause

The file size limit for Cloud Threat Emulation is 100MB.   
Before the Threat Emulation Security Gateway uploads a file for emulation, the file is compressed and then encrypted.   
Some file types passes the 100mb because, when the Security Gateway uploads the file for emulation in the cloud, it compresses and encrypt the file, which adds some MBs.
