# sk181042 - Failed to save object Global object modification is prohibited! error when configuring LDAP account unit

## Symptoms

- When attempting to use and configure changes to an LDAP Account Unit object that was created through the global domain in '**Gateway object** \> **Other** \> **User Directory**' from the local domain, this error shows:

**Error:**  
`Failed to save object. Global object modification is prohibited!`

## Cause

Typically, **Priority** settings are maintained on the gateway and the Account Unit object. But, due to the global nature of the Account Unit, it is not possible to update its priorities from a local domain.
