# sk181032 - "g_tcpdump -mcap" command does not merge traffic capture outputs

## Symptoms

- * The errors below appear when you save global tcpdump with Multi-Blade Traffic Capture (`g_tcpdump -mcap`):   
  `Copying captured packets from remote SGMs to local SGM`  
  `
  Merging capture files into `**[Filename]**   
  `
  error executing mcap: capture file `**[Filename]**` has bad file name format. expecting [base file name]_X_YY, where X is the chassis ID and YY is the blade ID`

* The outputs of the traffic capture are not merged:  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_1_1`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_1_2`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_1_3`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_1_4`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_2_1`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_2_2`  
  `
  `**[filename]**`_2_3
  `

## Cause

The filename specified with the "-w" parameter contains a dot (.) or dots.

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

If you choose not to upgrade, as a **workaround**, remove the dot or dots (.) from the filename specified with the "-w" parameter.
