# sk180883 - FWD process cannot be affined to dedicated core after upgrade

## Symptoms

- * The FWD process is not affined to the dedicated core after upgrade in User mode Firewall: instead of being affined to the dedicated CPU 47, it is affined to all the FWK cores.   

* Manually setting the affinity for FWD does not work.   

* The "`ps -ef | grep fwd`" command shows to Process IDs for FWD. One parent and one child PID.   

* The "`netstat_output`" command does not show the processes connected to any TCP/UDP connection

## Solution

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.  
For faster resolution and verification, collect these files:

1. [CPinfo](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk92739) file from the Management Server involved in the case.
2. [CPinfo](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk92739) file from the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member involved in the case.
