# sk180846 - "ERROR: ASN does not exist in the GeoIP database" when running the "fwaccel dos rate" command to block an AS

## Symptoms

- This error appears when you run the "`fwaccel dos rate`" command to block an Autonomous System (AS):
`
# fwaccel dos rate add -a d -n <AS Number> ` - ihor source asn:<ASN Number> pkt-rate 0  
ERROR: ASN <AS Number> does not exist in the GeoIP database ($FWDIR/conf/GeoIPASNum2.csv)  
ERROR: Bad source <ASN Number>

## Cause

Check Point's Rate Limit uses Geo Location information to convert AS numbers into IPs.   

ASN "object" is not in the GeoIP database.
