# sk180763 - Cannot add an existing Security Gateway to Smart-1 Cloud

## Symptoms

- * SmartConsole shows the error: `"Failed to Create Object"` when you try to add an existing Security Gateway to Smart-1 Cloud.

* The file *$MDS_FWDIR/log/cpm.elg* shows the error:

  `ERROR services.internal.LegacyGatewayObjectCrudSvcImpl [pool-11-thread-1]: ValidationException in handleClusterAsync: Multiple objects have the same IP address <IP ADDRESS>`

## Cause

Cluster and host have the same IP address.
