# sk180571 - "ERROR: This policy version references purged object(s) thus cannot be installed" while installing policy

## Symptoms

- * After revision fall back, policy installation fails with the error: `"The policy version references purged object(s) thus cannot be installed"`  

* The Policy Installation debug process terminates instantly, returning the following error:  

  `[Expert@HostName]# ./policy_debug.sh`  

  `--------STARTING DEBUG--------`  

  `Logging into the API...`  

  `ERROR: This policy version references purged object(s) thus cannot be installed`  

* Manual IPS update fails with "`Failed to get DB object`" error.  
  When you click **Update Now** , the action fails with   

  `Status: Pre update checks failed`  
  `Details: The Check Point management server is unable to download the IPS package at this time.......`
