# sk180565 - When sorting the Log Table in a SmartEvent report by time, the ascending/descending option does not work

## Symptoms

- When you sort the Log Table in a SmartEvent report by time, the ascending/descending option does not work.

## Cause

Sorting by time works only for Statistical Tables. It does not work for Log Tables.

## Solution

No fix is required. This behavior is by design.  

To sort by time, create a Statistical Table:
