| Solution ID | sk180542 |
| Date Created | 2023-01-26 |

## Symptoms

- * After cluster failover, a single VPN tunnel does not work as expected.
* The `orig_route_params` file shows the physical IP address of the cluster member instead of the cluster's Virtual IP Address (VIP).
* Failover back to the first cluster cluster member may temporarily resolve the issue.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:

* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81.20/Default.htm)

Check Point recommends to always upgrade to the [Recommended version](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk95746) ([Security Gateway](https://support.checkpoint.com/product/73) / [VSX](https://support.checkpoint.com/product/359) / [Security Management Server](https://support.checkpoint.com/product/184) / [Multi-Domain Security Management Server](https://support.checkpoint.com/product/166) / [SmartConsole](https://support.checkpoint.com/product/191)).

**Workaround Procedure**Do this procedure on the CLI of each cluster member in Expert Mode.

1. Run:
   ` cd /opt/CPsuite-R81.10/fw1/boot/modules/`
2. Back up the file:
   `cp fwkern.conf fwkern.conf.bkup`
3. Open the file in Vi editor:
   `vi fwkern.conf`
4. Delete these lines:
   `fw_aws_mode=1`
   `fw_azure_mode=1`
5. Save the file.
6. Reboot the Cluster Member.
7. Delete this table:
   `fw tab -t orig_route_params -x -y`
