## Symptoms

- * New file *.rnd* appears in the */opt/CPsuite-R80.40/fw1/bin/* directory.

* R80.40 Jumbo take 158 or later is installed.

## Cause

The file in question is related to a fix introduced in R80.40 Jumbo Take 158:
PRJ-31695, PMTR-73594 - Gaia OS: The "cpopenssl" command may fail with the error message "No such file or directory."

The fix updates the default *openss/cpopenssl* configuration file to be *$CPDIR/conf/openssl.cnf* , and the */.rnd* file is used as part of the configuration.

## Solution

There may be several locations where this file will be created. These are all environment variables configured in the file system.

The file is benign and may be ignored.
