New Capabilities {#New_Capabilities}
------------------------------------

The new Spark Management adds some exciting capabilities:

* MSP friendly multi-tenancy (based on Infinity Portal).

* Overview page to quickly get a complete network status.

* Immediate onboarding (no need to wait for Domain request approval).

* Single Sign On with 3rd party Identity Providers (Octa, Microsoft Entra AD, and others).

* Export to SIEM.

* Advanced log views and filters and new access report.

* Integration with Infinity Events.

* And many more!

Timeline {#Timeline}
--------------------

As of February 2023: For a short period of time, both [legacy Quantum Spark Security Management Portal (SMP)](https://eu-1.spark-management.checkpoint.com) and the [new Quantum Spark Management](https://portal.checkpoint.com/dashboard/sparkmanagement) application in Infinity Portal will co-exist. Spark Management in Infinity Portal will eventually replace the legacy SMP.

We highly recommend that you start using the new Spark Management application in Infinity Portal as soon as possible.

* **Since 31 January 2023 (General Availability release):**

  * All new domains must be created in Infinity Portal (legacy domain requests will no longer be supported).

* **By 01 May 2023:**

  * All existing domains must link their domain to an Infinity Portal account containing the Spark Management application.

  * Linking a domain has minimal effect on users. You can access the legacy Quantum Spark Security Management Portal (SMP) from both Infinity Portal and the legacy URL.

* **By 01 June 2023:**

  * The legacy Quantum Spark Security Management Portal (SMP) will be closed.
    Only the new Spark Management application in Infinity Portal will be operational.
    Users are still able to use the link feature to link their domain in legacy SMP to a Quantum Spark Management tenant in Infinity Portal.

Getting Started {#Getting_Started}
----------------------------------

* Users with an existing Security Management Portal (SMP) domain:

  1. Create your account in Infinity Portal (if you do not already have one).
     For more information, see the [Infinity Portal Administration Guide](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Infinity_Portal/WebAdminGuides/EN/Infinity-Portal-Admin-Guide/Default.htm?cshid=ID015).

  2. Configure administrators for the account in **Global Settings** \> **Users** (you can also do this later).

  4. Click "**Already have an existing domain**" and enter the required information in the form.

  5. The domain will be linked within 3 days after verification, and you will be notified by email.

* For a new Security Management Portal (SMP) domain:

  2. Click the **Menu** button in the top left corner \> in the **Quantum** section, click the **Spark Management** application.

FAQ {#FAQ}
----------

* I already have an existing domain in the Quantum Spark Security Management Portal (SMP). How can I connect to the Spark Management application in Infinity Portal?
  > Create a new account in the Infinity Portal or use an existing one. In the top left corner, click the **Menu** button \> in the **QUANTUM** section, click the **Spark Management** application. Use the option **Already have a domain**.
  >
  > The existing domain in SMP and the tenant in the Infinity Portal will be linked within two days after verification.
* What impact, if any, does linking an existing SMP domain to Spark Management have?
  > None, as no migration is required. For a limited time period, both solutions can work in parallel: you can keep using your existing legacy SMP or the new Spark Management. See the "Timeline" section above.
  >
  > We encourage you to switch the workload to the application running in the Infinity Portal. In the future, this will serve as the only solution, and you can provide valuable feedback in the process.
* Where can I configure users in the new Spark Management application?
  > In Infinity Portal, you configure the users in the **Global Settings** view \> **Users** page. See the [Infinity Portal Administration Guide](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Infinity_Portal/WebAdminGuides/EN/Infinity-Portal-Admin-Guide/Default.htm?cshid=ID032).
* What are the supported regions?
  > The supported regions are the United States, the European Union (Ireland) and India.
