## Symptoms

- * It takes a noticeable time for Gaia Clish commands to complete on a VSX Gateway / VSX Cluster Member.

* CPU Spike Detective ([sk166454](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk166454)) and the output of the "`perf top`" command show that these functions consume the CPU at a high level:

  * `wait_for_OBF_set`
  * `_dl_sort_fini`
* Disabling the CPView history mode resolves the issue.

* Bash commands have no issue.

* CPView might load very slowly.

* There might be CONFD or CPVIEWD core dumps under /var/log/dump/usermode.

* There are many "cpviewd: Destroying the lists of sensors" messages in /var/log/messages.

* Both CPVIEWD and CONFD processes consume \~15%\~ CPU on both members.

## Cause

When the history mode is enabled, the CPView tool runs the Gaia Clish command "`show assets`" repeatedly.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:

* On R80.30 and higher:

  `cpview -s off`
* On R80.20 and lower:

  `cpview history off`
