# sk180207 - BGP peer is stuck in Active state

## Symptoms

- * The output of the "show bgp peers" command shows the negotiation with the peer is stuck in Active state.

* In BGP debugs, as per sk101399, the routed.log shows this error:

      
      10 12:06:00.493489 bgp_connect_complete: connection error: Transport endpoint is not connected

* There is connectivity between the gateway and the peer.
