# sk180173 - Standby cluster member does not send logs from its physical IP address after upgrade with CDT

## Symptoms

- * After an upgrade of a cluster to version R80.40 or higher with Central Deployment Tool (CDT), a standby cluster member does not send log files from its physical IP address.
* The active cluster member sends log files for all cluster members.
* The standby cluster member that does not send log files from its physical IP address was the first cluster member on which the administrator activated MVC.

## Cause

Starting in R80.40, the value of the "`fwha_cluster_hide_active_only`" parameter is `1` by default. In pre-R80.40 versions, the value of the parameter is `0` by default.  

During the upgrade, CDT enables and then disables Multi-Version Cluster (MVC) on the first standby cluster member. MVC sets the value of the "`fwha_cluster_hide_active_only` " parameter to `0`. When CDT turns off MVC, the value of the parameter changes to `1`, the default value for the higher version.   
If you are executing custom configuration scripts for configuring fwha_cluster_hide_active_only=0 in the fwkern.conf it will be set to 1 on the first upgraded member. This is because CDT executes MVC after all user scripts have been executed in the deployment plan for the first upgraded member.
