## Symptoms

- * External vulnerability scanner shows that a Check Point server is vulnerable to [CVE-2021-42392](https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2021-42392).

* The vulnerable file is:

  *$CPDIR/database/postgresql/util/symmetric-ds/lib/h2-1.3.176.jar*

## Cause

The *$CPDIR/database/postgresql/util/symmetric-ds/lib/h2-1.3.176.jar* file is present by default on Check Point servers (Management Servers, Security Gateways, and so on).

## Solution

Check Point software does not use this JAR package.

This JAR package will be removed in future Takes of Jumbo Hotfix Accumulators (this article will be updated accordingly).

**As an immediate workaround:**

1. Connect to the command line on the Check Point server.

2. Log in to the Expert mode.

3. Delete this JAR file:

   `rm -i $CPDIR/database/postgresql/util/symmetric-ds/lib/h2-1.3.176.jar`
