# sk180004 - iOS device with an IPv6 address cannot use Capsule VPN to connect to internal resources

## Symptoms

- * End users with an iOS device cannot use Capsule VPN to connect to internal resources.
* The iOS device connected is connected to the internet with an IPv6 address, but the VPN Client uses IPv4 addresses.

## Cause

When the iOS device is configured only with an IPv6 address (usually provided by the mobile network) and tries to connect using an IPv4 address, the iOS device performs a NAT64 DNS request. If the iOS device receives a NAT64 IPv6 address, it uses this IPv6 address and not the VPN tunnel.
