# sk179969 - Policy installation fails with error "Policy installation failed on gateway. Cluster policy installation failed"

## Symptoms

- * Policy installation fails with the error "`Policy installation failed on gateway. Cluster policy installation failed`".

* The `$FWDIR/log/cphaconf.elg` file shows that the policy installation fails on one cluster member:

  `[cphaconf PID TID]@MemberHostName[Date Time] Enter T_event_mainloop till the cluster policy ends.`  
  `
  [cphaconf PID TID]@MemberHostName[Date Time] fwha_cphaconf_trap_cb: Cluster policy installation FAILED.`

## Cause

The MVC (Multi-Version Cluster) feature is enabled although both cluster members are running with the same version.

Examine the state of the MVC Mechanism:

* In Gaia Clish:  
  `# show cluster members mvc`
* In the Expert mode:  
  `# cphaprob mvc`
