## Symptoms

- "*The connection between this Quantum Management Server and Infinity Portal is disabled* " appears in SmartConsole at the top of the "*Infinity Services*" view.

## Cause

This on-premises Management Server disabled the connection to Infinity Portal to prevent a conflict between the settings of the Data Sharing and Log Sharing services on this new separate Management Server and the previous Management Server.

By design, an on-premises Management Server disables the connection to Infinity Portal in these cases:

* You upgraded an on-premises Management Server using a migration of the management database from the previous Management Server to this new separate Management Server.

* You restored a backup from the previous Management Server to this new separate Management Server, while the previous Management Server is still connected to Infinity Portal.
