## Symptoms

- * The "mdsstat" command shows that specific CMA(s) down, but logging processes are still up.
* "cpwd_admin list \| grep 'CMAname'" does not show FWM, CPD, or FWD processes.

## Cause

Corrupted registry file. Specific values in the registry file of the CMA change to ASCII control characters.
