| Versions | R81.10 (EOS), R81.10 (EOS) |
| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * There is console access but no network connectivity after installing:
  * R81.10 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 66 on top of Blink image that includes Take 55
  * R81.10 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 93 on top of Blink image that includes Take 87
* The */etc/appliance_config.xml* file contains "VMware" instead of a real appliance model.

## Cause

During installation of Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 66 (or Take 93), there is a stage when part of the configuration, changed by Take 55 (Take 87), gets restored. Some restored files are not aligned anymore with the appliance model.
The new content is installed assuming that the hardware platform is VMware, which causes unique interfaces to be deleted.

## Solution

The problem occurred when installing R81.10 Jumbo **Take 66 over Take 55** was fixed. The fix is included in:

* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81.10/Default.htm) starting from Take 75

If the problem occurred when installing R81.10 Jumbo **Take 93 over Take 87**,

* **[Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81.10/Default.htm) starting from Take 94**

If you choose not to upgrade, [contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get assistance.

<br />

There is no option to fully recover the appliance configuration because part of the information gets deleted during the Blink image installation. If you did not use these blinks, install Take 66 (Take 93) as usual.

If you choose not to upgrade, the workaround is:

1. Revert to an older snapshot.
2. Install Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 66 or Take 93 via CPUSE.
