# sk179699 - Service Based Link Selection does not work as expected

## Symptoms

- * Site-to-Site VPN with Service Based Link Selection enabled gets disconnected for some services.
* Upon policy installation, Security Gateways may not receive changes that are made in the Service Based Link Selection configuration file *$FWDIR/conf/vpn_service_based_routing.conf* as per instructions of [sk56384](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk56384).
* The log file shows at the time of policy installation:   
  *\[vpnd 2475 4078303168\]@GW\[Date\]\[tunnel\] peer_res_layer_init: Service Based Link Selection is disabled*

## Cause

The *$FWDIR/conf/vpn_service_based_routing.conf* file is not pulled from the Security Management Server to the Security Gateway. As a result, traffic does not pass on the configured interface.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:  

* **[Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81/R81.00/R81.00-List-of-all-Resolved-Issues.htm) Starting from Take 72.**

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.  
For faster resolution and verification, please collect [CPinfo files](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk92739) from the Security Management Server and Security Gateways involved in the case.
