# sk179431 - "g_fw monitor" command does not merge the outputs of the traffic captures

## Symptoms

- * Saving global firewall monitor ("`g_fw monitor`)" causes these errors:   
  `fwmonitor: copying capture files from blades`  
  `
  fwmonitor: merging capture files into `**[Filename]**   
  `
  error executing mcap: capture file `**[Filename]**` has bad file name format. expecting [base file name]_X_YY, where X is the chassis ID and YY is the blade ID`

* The traffic capture outputs are created successfully but are not merged.  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_1_1`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_1_2`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_1_3`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_1_4`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_2_1`  
  `
  `**[filename]** `_2_2`  
  `
  `**[filename]**`_2_3
  `

## Cause

Issue occurs when the filename specified with "-o" parameter contains a dot (.).

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

If you choose not to upgrade, remove the dot(s) ( **.** ) from the filename specified by "*-o*" parameter.
