## Symptoms

- * The Expert mode command "`[Expert@hostname-ch01-01:0]# asg_route`" shows an inconsistent default gateway on Security Group Members.

* The Expert mode command "`[Expert@hostname-ch01-01:0]# g_all netstat -nr`" does not show the default gateway on Security Group Members.

* The Gaia gClish command "`[Global] hostname-ch01-01 > show configuration static-route`" shows the correct default route on Security Group Members.

## Cause

IP reachability is enabled for the default gateway route.

By design, only one Security Group Member can reach the configured IP address.

## Solution

1. Connect to the command line on the Security Group.

2. Log in to Gaia gClish (if your default shell is the Expert mode):

   `gclish`
3. Examine the IP reachability configuration:

   `[Global] hostname-ch01-01 > show ip-reachability-detection summary`
4. If the IP reachability is currently enabled for the default route, then disable it:

   `[Global] hostname-ch01-01 > set static-route default ping off`

**Note** - To disable it in Gaia Portal of the Security Group:
   1. Go to **Network Management** \> **IPv4 Static Routes**

   2. Select the **Default** route

   3. Click **Edit**

   4. Clear the checkbox **Ping**

   5. Click **Save**

5. Examine the routing configuration:

   `[Expert@hostname-ch01-01:0]# asg_route`
