## Symptoms

- The client cannot connect to the server after an upgrade from E86.20 and below to E86.25, E86.26, or E86.30 if the Firewall blade is enabled, Windows does not have the latest updates, and Endpoint Server R80.20 (or older) is in use.

## Cause

Check Point code signing certificate was altered in E86.25. This certificate's root certificate authority (CA) was added to Windows in July 2020. The installer tries to install missed certificates during installation or upgrade. However, in a rare scenario, if the Firewall is enabled before the certificates are updated, the Firewall starts blocking the installer. In such case, the certificates are not installed, and the client cannot connect to the server.
