# sk178485 - Security Gateways R80 and higher do not appear in Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) layer with Security Gateways R77.30 and lower

## Symptoms

- After users change the version of one or more Security Gateways, the changed Security Gateways do not appear in the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) layer.

## Cause

The Security Management / Multi-Domain Server creates an IPS layer automatically for Security Gateways with version R77.30 and lower. Security Gateways with version R80 and higher are **not** included in this IPS layer and **cannot** be added to it.
