## Symptoms

- * SmartConsole \> Logs tab or SmartView \> Logs tab does not show more than 50 results when the user queries logs.

* When the user scrolls down in SmartConsole \> Logs tab after running the query:

  1. SmartConsole shows a blank page with "*Problems have occurred during search*"
  2. The results change to a time period before the queried hours
* When the user scrolls down in SmartView \> Logs tab after running the query, SmartView shows a blank page with "*Query failed*".

* The time zone configured on the Management Server / Log Server does not use Daylight Saving Time (DST).

## Cause

If the time zone configured on the Management Server / Log Server does not use Daylight Saving Time (DST), then the search inside the indexed logs may not work correctly.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:

* [Check Point R81](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid= Last Updated: 24-Jan-2022 sk166715)

Check Point recommends to always upgrade to the most recent version ([Security Management Server](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=downloads&product=184) / [Multi-Domain Security Management Server](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=downloads&product=166) / [SmartConsole](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=downloads&product=191)).

<br />

As a temporary **workaround** for lower versions R80.x, follow these steps on the Management Server / Log Server:

1. Change the current time zone that does not use DST to another that uses the same time with DST.

   For instructions, see the [Gaia Administration Guide](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=documents&product=184) for your version \> Chapter **System Management** \> Section **Time**.
2. Restart the Check Point services.

   Run these commands in the Expert mode:
   * On a Security Management Server:

     `cpstop ; cpstart`
   * On a Multi-Domain Security Management Server:

     `mdsstop ; mdsstart`
