# sk178105 - Network objects with name pattern Net_<ip_address> do not appear in the object explorer

## Symptoms

- In SmartConsole \> Security Gateway/Cluster properties \> Topology there are network objects with names in pattern Net_\<ip_address\>, that are not found in the object explorer.

## Cause

Network objects with name pattern Net_\<ip_address\> are generated automatically when "Calculate topology..." is selected in the Security Gateway/Cluster object properties \> Topology tab, according to the routing table, for example:

For the route: 10.240.206.114 -\> 255.255.255.255, a "Net_10.240.206.114" network object is created.

If you change the route to 10.240.206.115 and then back to 10.240.206.114, a "Net_10.240.206.114_0" object is created. The next change creates "Net_10.240.206.114_1" and so forth.
