# sk177983 - Issues accessing sites when traffic is HTTPS bypassed

## Symptoms

- * When HTTPS Inspection is configured to **bypass** , users cannot access the URL in the **Custom Application/Site** object. Even if the access is to a URL configured in the **Custom Application/Site** object, it will not hit the policy rule it was used for.
* When HTTPS Inspection is configured to **Inspect**, users can access the "Custom Application/Site" object as expected.
* When HTTPS Inspection is configured to **Bypass** the traffic, gateway is not matching Application Control Objects.

## Cause

This is by design when traffic is HTTPS bypass.
