# sk177164 - "No items found" error in SmartConsole when you are unable to open log files in non-indexed mode

## Symptoms

- * When you open the log file manually in SmartConsole, this error appears: "*No items found*".
* Legacy tracker shows 0kb files.
* *#ls -lh $FWDIR/log* shows no results or takes a lot of time to fetch output.

## Cause

The server was upgraded from an old version using in-place upgrade, and there is a large number of old *sym*links to an old version of the log directory in `$FWDIR/log` . However, the actual logs in the referenced directory do not exist.
