# sk176947 - Memory usage increases after each IPS automatic update

## Symptoms

- * Each time IPS performs an automatic update (default: every two hours), FWD's memory usage increases.
* The *memory_monitor* tool (used to map the FWD's memory allocation) shows that the memory consumption by the function *getIpsUpdateEnabled* increases in each *memory_monitor* report.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
