# sk176763 - Radius Group Object with three or more servers fails to generate Radius Auth request

## Symptoms

- * Connection to Security Gateway fails with "`Authentication failed`" error.

* VPND debug shows:  

  `
  [vpnd PID]@Host[DATE TIME][CPSC] cpsc_get_msg_by_id: Cache HIT for CPSC_RADIUS_FAILED_GEN`  
  `

  [vpnd PID]@Host[DATE TIME][CPSC] cpsc_get_msg_by_id: Cache HIT for CPSC_RADIUS_ACCESS_DENIED`  
  `
  ...`  
  `
  [vpnd PID]@Host[DATE TIME][CPLOG] CCplogUtils::FillVarArg: str: Failed to generate RADIUS auth request`  

* The RADIUS group object name contains special characters, including "-" or "_".

## Solution

This is an expected behavior.   
After adding three or more RADIUS servers to a RADIUS group object, special characters in the group name are not supported.   

Create a new RADIUS Group Object with a new name that does not contain any special characters.
