# sk176665 - IPS, AntiVirus and AntiBot packages moved to the Log partition

## Cause

On the Security Gateway, when the IPS blade is enabled, IPS packages may take a lot of disk-space, especially in VSX installations.  
The package(s) reside(s) in this IPS directory: `$FWDIR/ips/update/`.  
This directory traditionally resides in the root partition, which is smaller than the "`/var/log/`" partition.
