# sk176369 - Locally Managed Spark Firewall Cluster breaks when adding a new cluster interface after the Secondary Cluster Member is already connected

## Symptoms

- High Availability cluster of Locally Managed Quantum Spark Appliances (that run Gaia Embedded OS) breaks when adding a new cluster interface after the Secondary cluster member is already connected to the cluster.

## Solution

**To add a new cluster interface after the cluster was already configured and is running (no downtime is required):**

1. Make sure the Primary cluster member is Active.

   In WebUI, go to **Device** \> **High Availability**.
2. Disconnect the Secondary cluster member from the cluster:

   In WebUI, go to **Device** \> **High Availability** \> **Reset cluster settings**.
3. Configure the new interface on both cluster members.

4. On the Primary cluster member, in the WebUI \> **High Availability** page, configure the new interface settings.

5. On the Primary cluster member, in the WebUI \> **High Availability** page, click **Reinitialize Trust** and establish trust with the Secondary cluster member.

6. Connect the Secondary member to the cluster.
