# sk176309 - "Error - not writing logs" shows in cpstat on Security Gateway

## Symptoms

- * Running "`cpstat fw -f log_connection`" on the Security Gateway shows this output:

  Error - not writing logs

  `
  "Overall Status Description: Security Gateway is reporting logs as defined"
  `  
  `
  "Local Logging Mode Description: Error - not writing logs"
  `  
  `
  "Local Logging Mode Status: 5"
  `   

* Performing a debug on FWD shows this output:

  `LSConnStatShmem::Init: Shared memory no longer valid. Reallocating`
* the following snmpwalk query shows an unsupported value: snmpwalk -v3 -u -l authPriv -a MD5 --A -x DES -X 1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.30.5.0 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2620.1.1.30.5.0 = INTEGER: 5

## Cause

The information from this output is stored in shared memory.

FWD writes to this shared memory and CPD/AMON reads from it.

A WRITE_ERROR is received if the shared memory is not updated within 30 seconds.
