## Symptoms

- * Dell published [CVE-2021-36299](https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2021-36299) for iDRAC9 versions 4.40.00.00 and later, but before 4.40.29.00 and 5.00.00.00

* Dell published [CVE-2021-36300](https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2021-36300) for iDRAC9 versions before 5.00.00.00

* Dell published [CVE-2021-36301](https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2021-36301) for iDRAC9 versions before 4.40.40.00 and iDRAC8 versions before 2.80.80.80

* Dell published [CVE-2021-20235](https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2021-20235) for iDRAC9 Group Manager feature over the IPv6 linklocal interface versions before 5.00.20.10

## Cause

* **CVE-2021-36299** - An SQL injection vulnerability. A remote authenticated malicious user with low privileges may potentially exploit this vulnerability to cause information disclosure or denial of service by supplying specially crafted input data to the affected application.

* **CVE-2021-36300** - An improper input validation vulnerability. An unauthenticated remote attacker may potentially exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted malicious request to make the webserver unresponsive or cause information disclosure.

* **CVE-2021-36301** - A Stack Buffer Overflow in Racadm. An authenticated remote attacker may potentially exploit this vulnerability to control process execution and gain access to the underlying operating system.

* **CVE-2021-20235** - There is a flaw in the zeromq server in versions before 4.3.3 in src/decoder_allocators.hpp. The decoder static allocator could have its sized changed, but the buffer would remain the same as it is a static buffer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker who sends a crafted request to the zeromq server could trigger a buffer overflow WRITE of arbitrary data if CURVE/ZAP authentication is not enabled. The greatest impact of this flaw is to application availability, data integrity, and confidentiality.

## Solution

**Important Note:** If you have not enabled iDRAC (as per [sk122914](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk122914)) you are not affected.

If you have enabled iDRAC, upgrade to the final version for your appliance model.
See [sk122914 - Enabling LOM (iDRAC) Management for Smart-1 525/5050/5150/625/6000-L/6000-XL/600-M Appliances](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk122914#iDRAC_Firmware_Upgrade_Path) \> section "*iDRAC Firmware Upgrade Path*".
