# sk176205 - Endpoint Security Client fails to uninstall with known uninstall password

## Symptoms

- * After running the Patch from [sk171213](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk171213) and checking that it run successfully, and verifying that C:\\Windows\\System32\\Drivers for epklib.bad and File is in place, the client does not uninstall.

* Open Control panel, select "Uninstall" of Checkpoint Endpoint, it does not accept the uninstall password. Error is shown: `"Error 27557.Removing Check Point Endpoint Security is not allowed. Please check that the password you have entered is correct or contact your system administrator."`

* Update of the password in the Client Setting policy and verifying the client updates the policy, the client still cannot be uninstalled.

## Cause

Secure Uninstall becomes active while it is not really configured in Common Client Settings, preventing the driver from correct password validation.  
Only two client versions are affected by this issue, E81.00 \& E81.10, and are known to be prone to it.
