# sk175004 - Policy installation to a VSX cluster fails with a "<code>commit failure</code>" error message

## Symptoms

- * Policy installation to a VSX cluster fails with a "`commit failure`" error message.
* Running the `fw -d fetchlocal -d $FWDIR/state/__tmp/FW1` command on the failing Virtual System shows "`resolver_gethostbyname`" install error messages for a recently deleted VS:

  ```

  [6432 3977771488]@OM-VSX-5600-FW01[23 Jun 13:29:05] resolver_gethostbyname6: Performing getaddrinfo with PF_INET6 for host VS01
  ```

## Cause

The delete object script was recently used to delete an older Virtual System.  

The delete object script can only delete these kinds of generic objects in the *objclasses*list it uses:

* Security Gateways
* Check Point Hosts
* Virtual Systems

The delete object script does not delete rules. A deleted object can still have references.
