## Symptoms

- When running the `"vsec_lic_cli"` tool to auto or manually distribute a license to GCP CloudGuard Gateway, the license is not delivered.

## Cause

The Security Gateway was newly deployed to upgrade an existing Gateway. The older version is already removed, but the object name in the Security Management server is re-used for the new upgraded GCP CloudGuard Gateways.

**Hotfix installation instructions:**
Refer to [sk168597 - How to install a Hotfix](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk168597).

<br />

After the Jumbo Hotfix installation run these commands according to your environment for each Security Gateway that has this issue:

* **On Security Management Server**

  `# vsec_lic_cli configure disable <gateway-name>`

  `# vsec_lic_cli configure enable <gateway-name>`
* **On Multi-Domain Management Server (domain mode):**

  `# mdsenv <domain-ip / domain-name>`

  `# vsec_lic_cli configure disable <gateway-name>`

  `# vsec_lic_cli configure enable <gateway-name>`
* **On Multi-Domain Management Server (mds mode):**

  `# vsec_lic_cli configure disable <domain-name> <gateway-name>`
  `# vsec_lic_cli configure enable <domain-name> <gateway-name>`

**Note:** In case you also change the Security Gateway name, you need to install a hotfix on the Security Management server. [Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get a hotfix for your version.
