# sk174403 - P2P application does not work when On device Network Protection (ONP) is enabled

## Symptoms

- * P2P applications do not work as expected when ONP is enabled.

* P2P applications cannot connect to local device/server when ONP is enabled.

## Cause

P2P apps creates a point to point connection over device internet to another local device or a server (like a car hands free service, a wireless speaker and other IOTs)

In some cases, these connections are falling due to ONP.
