# sk174343 - Importing a package using the Gaia portal fails with an error: "Invalid file type"

## Symptoms

- * Importing a package using the Gaia portal fails with an error: "Invalid file type"
* Importing a package using CLISH fails:   
  `
  Result: Import of package fw1_wrapper_HOTFIX_R80_40_JHF_T91_986_MAIN_GA_FULL.TGZ Failed `  
  `
  Cannot import package fw1_wrapper_HOTFIX_R80_40_JHF_T91_986_MAIN_GA_FULL.TGZ. It is not a valid CPUSE package. `

  Supported extensions are: .tgz, .tar, .gz`  
  `

## Cause

**The embedded file verification mechanism is case sensitive.**   
If the file extension is changed, and is no longer a lower case .tgz / .tar / .gz, the import fails.  

**For example:**

Changing the file extension from **.tgz** to **.TGZ** causes the verification to fail, and consequently, the import fails, as well.
