# sk174269 - IKEv2 VPN tunnel instability to third party VPN gateway due to re-key failed

## Symptoms

- * When IKEv2 and pre-shared-key is configured, VPN to third party VPN gateway may fail randomly.
* This output shows:

  ```
  [vpnd][ikev2_reauth] vpn1ReauthPeer::isSaAuthenticationValid: peer: x.x.x.x is authenticated via PSK. 
  ```

  The entry exists in this table:

  ```
   0 [vpnd][ikev2_reauth] vpn1ReauthPeer::setLog: issue log: Failed to re-validate PSK of peer x.x.x.x. Cannot rekey the IKE SA, authentication revoked. Need to create new IKE SA.
  ```

* After applying the Hotfix in sk171756, the issue still occurs.

## Cause

When writing to*ikev2_peer_PSK*, don't treat binary psk hash buf as string.
