# sk174265 - Increased memory use by the CPD daemon on Security Gateway

## Symptoms

- Increased memory use by the CPD daemon on a Security Gateway.

## Cause

A memory leak may occur on the Security Gateway during the establishment of SIC connections, causing high memory use of the CPD and a possible core dump.
