## Symptoms

- * SSL error occurs when accessing the Threat Prevention API (TPAPI) as the Client and Security Gateway cannot agree on a specific cipher.

* Threat Prevention API SSL cipher suites used on port 18194 does not contain ECDHE ciphers.

* Changing or adding the relevant cipher suites with "cipher_util" as per article [sk126613](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk126613), does not resolve the issue.

## Cause

Threat Prevention API (TPAPI) SSL cipher suites used on port 18194 do not offer ECDHE ciphers.
