## Symptoms

- Messages about RADIUS authentication failure appear in SmartConsole logs, but are not presented to end-users.

Log example from the $FWDIR/log/vpnd.elg file on a Security Gateway:
`[vpnd PID]@gateway[DATE TIME][CPLOG] CCplogUtils::FillVarArg: str: The password does not meet the password policy requirements`

## Cause

RADIUS messages intended for administrators, and not to the end user. Therefore, showing actual RADIUS error can compromise security. For security reasons, when some messages are received from the RADIUS server, the Security Gateway sends a generic error to the VPN client.
