# sk173811 - SNMP lowDiskSpace trap with Management Data Plane Separation (MDPS) does not work with SNMP versions v1/v2/v3

## Symptoms

- * SNMP lowDiskSpace trap with MDPS does not work with SNMP versions v1/v2/v3 .

* User defined SNMP user prior enabling MDPS.   

  SNMP usm user must be defined to ensure this trap will work with SNMP versions v1/2.

* The following lines of SNMP user are missing in the /config/active:   
  `
  snmp:v3:user:USM_USERNAME:instance:1 t `  
  `
  snmp:v3:user:USM_USERNAME:instance:0 t`

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk170114) starting from Take 51
* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R80.40](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk165456) starting from Take 126

(Note: issue resolved when activating MDPS in Take 126)  

If MDPS already activate: (# set mdps mgmt plane on),

There are two options:

1. Run the following script: mdps_fix_snmp_usm_user_config.sh (download the script from [**here**](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?action=portlets.DCFileAction&eventSubmit_doGetdcdetails=&fileid=115556))

   1. Copy *mdps_fix_snmp_usm_user_config.sh* to `/home/admin`

   2. Run: **`# chmod +x mdps_fix_snmp_usm_user_config.sh`**

   3. Run: **# ./mdps_fix_snmp_usm_user_config.sh**

2. Delete the snmp usm user from the configuration and add the snmp usm user again.

   **`# delete snmp usm user <usm user> `
   `# add snmp usm user...`**
