## Symptoms

- * VSX Object Creation fails after clicking "Finish" and provisioning starts.

* SIC is established but the Gateway does not convert to VSX.

* A similar log is found on the $FWDIR/log/cpm.elg file on the Management Server:
  `

  ERROR dleserver.internal.DefaultExceptionMapper [qtp1392139130-265636]: Internal runtime error`
  `
CpmGeneralException{base='com.checkpoint.management.is.exceptions.CpmGeneralException: com.checkpoint.management.coresvc.ValidationException: A blocking validation error was found: Policy name can not be longer than 31 characters', errorCode='Failed to create MVS default policy package
', errorFamily='null', messageForUser='null', message='com.checkpoint.management.coresvc.ValidationException: A blocking validation error was found: Policy name can not be longer than 31 characters'}`

## Cause

VSX Object name is too long. When VSX object is created a default policy is made for VS0 and appends "_VSX" to the host name. If these combined values are more than 31 characters, creation will fail.
